Horseshoe Valley

Some friends of ours have a condo up at a Ski Resort called Horseshoe Valley. They invited us up for the day yesterday, but since we are from Barbados and have NO idea how to ski:- we did some other fun, snow-related things:)

like… snow-shoeing. While our friends went skiing, our family went snow shoeing on a trail called The Back Country. When we started off, everyone was having a blast. It was just beautiful – I have never seen anything quite like it. We were having a blast, but after an hour or so – the boys started losing it. Xander’s exact comment was, “Snow-shoeing used to be fun, but now it’s becoming work!”. But once you get onto the trail, you have to keep going until it brings you back out… so 1 hour and 45 minutes later – we found our way out of the woods.

As much fun as snow-shoeing was, the real fun for me today was using my brand new camera!! I am slowly but surely learning how to use it. I think you can tell in the pictures below, because it’s pretty obvious which pics were taken by my husband:)

We also went Tubing with our friends in the evening, I didn’t bring my big camera with me this time, but here are a few shots from the iPhone.
