I’m Baaaack:)

In my youth, from the age of 6-16 I was a competitive swimmer. I represented Barbados for a lot of those years. Having said that, the number of times I have really put in a good swim workout in the last 19 years, could be counted on my fingers and toes. A friend of mine recently started swimming for exercise at our local community centre. Since I am trying to lose some weight and get a bit more fit, I decided to join her. We are aiming to go twice a week, but so far once a week is what we’ve managed. This week was our third time swimming, and every time I have increased my distance by 500m. Week 1 – 1km, Week 2 – 1.5kms and yesterday I swam a whopping 2kms!!! I found this site called swimplan.com and it gave me a pretty great workout to follow. I made a few tweaks – you can see the plan below. I am so proud of myself:)
