Xander’s 5th Birthday Cake

Time is a funny thing… It seems like just yesterday that Xander was a baby in my arms, and now I am planning a birthday party for my 5 year old! Time sure does fly when you are exhausted:)

We are having a Halloween themed party this year, so I had to figure out what kind of cake to make. I scoured the internet and got some great ideas and this Haunted House was what we decided on.

It was a lot of fun to make, was a big hit at the party and Xander loved it! Here is a tip for making a cake that requires some carving – freeze it for a couple of hours before you cut it, and that will make it a whole lot easier!
