Weekend Window {movies & monopoly}
We had a fairly low-key weekend, with lots of de-cluttering de-decorating the house from Christmas. I can’t believe that Christmas has come and gone already… where, oh where does the time go?
We did manage to get everything taken down and packed away until next December. That took up a good part of our Sunday, but then we played a game of Monopoly with the boys for the first time. They loved it – mostly they loved the thought of having their own money. Xander, being the money conscious kid he is, kicked our buts:)
Yesterday we all went to the movies and watched Mission Impossible 4. Then we came home and spent the afternoon shovelling out the ice rink. Yes you heard correctly. The darn rink sprung a leak and when it got warm a lot of water started to leak out and go towards our neighbours house. So we tried to get out as much of the ice as possible (and then carried it around to the front of our house near the road) so that we can pull up that tarp at some point.
I would like to get that one up and a new one down soon so that the kids can actually use it. But there is still a ton of ice to be removed. Part of me think we could have just left it, but if we had done that and somehow flooded our neighbours basement or something – we would be up a creek without a paddle. So better safe than sorry, I guess. I know my arms are going to be very tired by the end of this week, from all the shovelling I still have to do!
Anyway, I hope your weekend was as restful as ours.
