I love this kid…

As we all know, being a parent is HARD work, but there are some days that feel a LOT harder than others. My kids can drive me crazy some days, and on those days it feels like it will take everything I have to just hold it together until my reprieve of bedtime. And then there are days when my kids are so sweet that my heart feels like it could actually just burst out of my chest.

Ethan and Alex were upstairs playing on the Wii together last night, and Xander and I were downstairs together.

Xander was playing with his army men, having a grand old time and I was sitting with him watching him play. It was so nice, just the 2 of us, and I told him that I was enjoying playing with him.

He gets up, comes over to me, gives me a big hug and says “I love you Mum. You are the best Mum in the whole world. When I was a baby in your tummy, I hoped and wished and dreamed that you would be my Mummy!”

I honestly think that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me:)

God I love this kid!
