Surprise!

This year my Mum turns the big 6-0. So my Dad decided to bring the boys and I home to surprise her for her birthday. It has been so hard keeping this secret – not just from her, but from my kids too!

We didn’t want to tell the boys incase they let it slip out to my Mum accidentally. So we woke them up bright and early this morning with the news! They were so excited and we caught it all on tape! (too big to upload).

While they were pretty surprised, no one was more so than my Mum! My Dad had arranged to take her to the Yacht Club with their other grandchildren, and have a taxi pick us up. So we showed up on the beach and managed to get right up to her before she realised that it was us. She started screaming and screaming, “Oh my God, how are you here? How did you get here? Oh my God!” It was awesome!

My brother & sister-in-law then joined us as well and we all ate at the BBQ on the beach. It was lovely. Lovely doesn’t actually even begin to describe the evening. It was almost perfect. The only thing missing was my husband.

Then my nephew and 7mnth old twin nieces came home with us and spent the night. It was so nice to have them there! One of the babies slept with me, and OMG, I forget what it’s like to have a baby sleep on you – especially a baby you love. THERE IS NO BETTER FEELING IN THE WORLD!!!!

Day 1 in Barbados was a HUGE success:)
