Scavenger Hunt Sunday {on Saturday}

I just stumbled across this awesome picture Scavenger Hunt over at AshleySisk.com, and thought I would give it a try this week. The link up is tomorrow, but it works better for me to post today. Thanks for having me Ashley, and Congrats on your great news:)

I had fun with this project – it’s much easier on my ego than taking pictures of myself, that’s for sure! So here are the prompts for this weeks Scavenger Hunt:

1. Smile 2. Stand Alone 3. Rusty 4. Artificial 5. Repeating Pattern

SMILE Technically this is not a picture of a smile, because the scarf is in the way. But I chose this picture because, even though Ethan’s mouth is covered – he smile has totally reached his eyes and is lighting up his whole face.

STAND ALONE We took the kids sledding & snowboarding at the little hill in our neighbourhood last weekend, and I got this picture of Xander. Even though there are houses ALL around us, I was flat on the ground at the bottom of the hill when I took this, so it gives the illusion that he is all alone.

RUSTY This shot took a while to come to me, I couldn’t think of where would I find rust nearby. That is hilarious to me now – because this is my next door neighbour’s truck, and my husband complains often about how unsightly it is! I was happy to have it next door today, though:) I love that you can see some of the falling snowflakes.

ARTIFICIAL As soon as I saw this prompt I thought – flowers! But I don’t have any artificial flowers around the house. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a flower snob – I don’t have any real ones either – because I kill them all! I tend to have more dried sticks and things like that around – they require nothing from me. So I made a quick trip to the dollar store and bought these…

REPEATING PATTERN This was probably the hardest one for me this week. First I took a few pictures of patterned fabric, didn’t like it. Then I built a Lego tower with the boys alternating colours, took a picture of that and didn’t like it either! Friends came over last night for a drink, and when they left there were a few cans around the place which gave me the idea I ended up going with. Still not the world’s most creative pattern, but the best thing I came up with this week!

I can’t wait to see what we need to do for next week!

If you want to join in the fun visit Ashley through the link below.

Have a great weekend!
