It’s The Little Things {waterproof electronics}

I mentioned in a previous post that I used to be a swimmer {19 years, 2 kids and 40lbs ago}. In my attempt to lose some weight, I have been trying to get back into it. What I didn’t mention before is all of the cool things that are around now that make swimming so much more fun than it was 19 years ago!

I bought this awesome Ironman watch and heart rate monitor that I can wear while I swim. It’s unbelievable all the things it can do:-

* It’s a regular watch – keeps time and the like:) * It’s a Stop Watch – keeps track of how long I swim. * It’s a lap counter – keeps track of the number of laps that I swim (I just hit the lap button every time I turn). * It stores the time for my splits (the time each individual lap took me). *It keeps track of my heart rate and an alarm goes off when I fall out of my Target Heart Rate Zone. * It calculates how many calories I burn while I swim.

Like I said – AWESOME!

And then there is the only thing in the world that could make swimming back and forth 120 times not so freaking boring…

My Waterproof MP3 player – the Freestyle Audio Sound Wave!!

I just love this thing! It really makes swimming so much more fun! The only thing is that sometimes I catch myself trying to dance while I swim, and I’m sure that looks pretty hilarious to the people around me:)

I will say though, that the ear buds that came with this SwimP3 went kaput on me a couple weeks ago (2 years after I bought it), and I had to buy some new ones on ebay. This time I bought a different brand, which I actually like a lot better. They were the H2O Audio Flex Waterproof Earbuds – they are a lot more comfortable, and they sound better than my old ones.

These are the little things that made my day this week, what about you?
