We’re Off… Update

You know some people say that if you put thoughts out into the universe, that the universe is going to give you back those thoughts as your reality? Well that’s all I can think about today…

As predicted, it was a very long day, we left home at 8am and returned at 5pm. The day was a whole lot better than it usually is though, because my sister-in-law and adorable nephew, Ben, who live down-town met up with us for part of the day. They came with us to the blood tests and we had lunch together before we had to meet with the doctors. How cute is he?

The appointment went pretty well. The doctors and staff there are always amazing! The only thing is that some of Xan’s inflammatory markers are high, which could indicate that he is about to flare. The doctor said that it might also be an indication of a viral infection, but that since he doesn’t show any symptoms of being sick with a virus, we need to keep a close eye on him and watch for the symptoms of a flare. Is this a big deal? Not really, I guess. He is still healthy today and there is a chance that he will continue on that way. But for some reason my rational brain wont listen to what I just wrote, and the chance that he could flare again is all I can think about… So universe – don’t listen to me!!!!
