O Canada!

We moved to Canada 4 years ago on a temporary work Visa, and about a month before we moved we applied for Permanent Residence in Canada. Today we left the country on our Work Visas for the last time…

As of today – we are officially Permanent Residents! It has taken a long time, but was definitely worth the wait!

I consider myself to be a pretty well travelled person. And besides being well travelled myself – when you live your whole life on an island in the Caribbean whose main industry is Tourism, you encounter people from all over the world on a daily basis.

I say this to say, that I have met a lot of people from a lot of places – and Canadians are amongst the best of them. We feel so very fortunate to have been welcomed into this country by the people and Government alike. Today is a great day for us!

O Canada – we stand on guard for thee!
