Rum Bottle Cake

A friend`s birthday is tomorrow and we are invited there for dinner. Her husband told me that she really didn`t want a gift for her birthday, but I didnt want to go empty handed! When thinking about what interests this friend has, as bad as this sounds, I thought of rum:) Once that decision was made – I had to decide which kind of Rum to make a cake bottle of. I had to pay homage to home:) Great Barbados Rum! While the bottle is edible, it is not all cake… the top of the bottle is shaped from rice krispie treats. There is also one dowel going through the cake to make sure it doesn’t fall over during transport. The label is also edible – its made from rice paper which I painted on with food coloring. This is one bottle of rum that wont give you a hang over:) So, who wants a drink?
