Poinsettia Prototype

With Christmas fast approaching, I decided to make a prototype of a Poinsettia in a Pot cake that I think would be just perfect for this time of year! And it’s a good thing too, because this is definitely a case of learning from my mistakes:)                           I made one large pot, and one small pot. I did one in Fondant and one in Buttercream, and I left them for a few days to see how they stood up. Unfortunately the big one didn’t stand up too well:) I had used ice-cream cones as the base for the flowers, and shoved three into the cake. Are you having a Christmas party or attending one? This cake makes a great hostess gift and will be the talk of the party! It also makes a unique Christmas present! There are 2 Pot sizes available. The small pot feeds 8-12 people and costs $100. The large one feeds 36-40 people and costs $150.
