My Baby is Growing Up:(

I knew it was inevitable…. we were all embarrassed by our parents as children, so why would my son’s life be any different? I’ve always known the day would come when he would become embarrassed by me, but I honestly didn’t think it would come so soon! Every morning when I drop Xander to school, I walk him over to his class line, give him a kiss and tell him that I love him. The last couple days, I noticed that after I kissed Xander, he would do a quick scan around the playground to see if any of his friends noticed:) Well, today when I dropped him off – I bent down to kiss him and leaned backwards (to avoid the kiss) and put his hand up and said “Give me 5 instead”. So I gave him a hi-five goodbye. When i picked him up from school that day I said to him, “So Xander – you don’t want Mom to kiss you goodbye anymore?”. To which he replied, “But I still love you Mom!” I said, “I know you do, but it just embarrasses you a little when I kiss you?”. He said “Yes, but I still love you, I still love you”. Well, thank God for that!
