Kids Room

My sons share a room, and I wanted to do something that both of them would like. Ethan was obsessed with Dora at the time and Xander liked Diego – so their bedroom was created!

Once I decided on the decor I wanted, it was really quite easy. I already had a lot of Diego and Dora books, I took them to Kinkos, photocopied the pictures I wanted, and blew them up to the size I needed. I then traced the figures and drew them onto Bristol board.

I then painted the figures and cut them out. Once I organized how I wanted to lay out the figures I then painted the walls of the bedroom as the background of my mural.

I then sprayed the back of the figures with Elmer’s glue and arranged everything where I wanted it.

And voila!

My kids room is done!

The only problem is that the boys are going to probably outgrow this in two years, and I’ll have to start all over again!
